Reebok's history dates back to the late 1895s, in the English town of Bolton, where the Foster family started producing sports shoes because the athletes wanted to run faster! In 1958, two Foster grandchildren founded a company named after the African Gazelle - Reebok. The headquarters of the company moved to the United States in 1979 and since then Reebok has begun an international expansion. Since 1982, Reebok has launched a revolution by introducing three new things into sports - involving women by designing a new Freestyle women's tennis shoe, introducing a new fitness exercise called aerobic dance and introducing a new trend of wearing tennis out of sports activities. Today Reebok is one of the world's leading designer and distributor of sports , fitness and casual footwear, clothing and equipment that are sold in more than 170 countries around the world.
